Sigma has announced it is developing a 70-200mm F2.8 DG DN OS for Sony, Sigma, Panasonic and Leica full-frame mirrorless cameras.
The lens will be part of the company’s ‘Sports’ series of lenses, and becomes the second lens (after the 60-600mm F4.5-6.3 DG DN OS) to have its focus driven by an ‘HLA’ ‘high response’ linear actuator. Despite being part of the Sport series, Sigma makes clear it is designed to work alongside the 14-24mm F2.8 and 24-70mm F2.8 lenses from the Art series.
Pricing has not yet been announced but the company says it will be available from December this year.
